    Hi all,

This might be a dumb question but does anybody know where I can get a map that relates to some of the walkthroughs I've read lately. On these walkthroughs it always has listings such as AR3800 and I have no idea what this relates to.
    Any help would be great.
Also, are there any patches I should download and when should I install/play TOSC.

    Cheers

It's actually laid out as an 11 x 5 grid. Like this:
    0100 0200 0300 0400
    0600 0700 0800 0900
    1100 1200 1300 1400
    1600 1700 1800 1900
    2100 2200 2300 2400 2500
    ...
    5100 5200 5300 5400 5500

I also have a worldmap with numbers on it, but I can't remember where I got it. I could e-mail it to you if you PMed me your address.

EDIT: It does get a little more complicated with TotSC, because Durlag's Tower down in the south is AR0500. Also, the patch(es) you need to install after installing TotSC is/are here. The third one for sure, and then maybe the fourth one if you intend to do multiplayer. (The first and second ones are for BG without TotSC, so don't use them.)

If you press L in the game you'll see the coordinates of the pointer, as well as the area map code. Pretty much all text walkthroughs I know of name the map along with providing the area code for it (not much point otherwise).

Btw, don't install ANY patches if you have The Original Saga package. That one's already patched.

i'd advice www.dudleyville.com as a walkthrough, works with screens of areas, and gives you the AR number as well. some fidgeting around with the minimap on the left of the walkthrough page will make it a bit more clear wich areas are where.
