Gameplanet has posted a "brilliant" review of Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone which was apparently written for idiots. Here's a snip:

The very essence of what makes a game like Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone so engaging is the fact that you dont really have to do too much to have fun. If what youre looking for is a good ol' hack and slash game with a bit of a storyline to plod along to, you're in for a treat. The basic plot of Demon Stone revolves around a wizard named Khelbun Arunsun who has magically found a way to imprison the Slaad Lord Ygorl and Cireka, the Githyanki General, in a demon stone. Unfortunately, both of these fiends manage to break free of the stone and are now unleashing hell upon the Realms. Guess whose turn it is to try and sort out the mess they caused?

"A wizard named Khelben Arunsun". No one has ever heard of him...

The game itself is wonderfully put together. Graphically it is nothing too astounding but the graphics are well done and appear very crisp on-screen. The sound compliments the storyline all the way through. Atmosphere adds a lot to the game, but don't be expecting thrills on the edge of your seat or anything of that magnitude. Whilst Demon Stone delivers on every level you would expect from an old fashioned hack 'n' slash adventure, the novelty of hacking and slashing your way through absolutely everything can soon wear thin.

There is any novelty in hacking and slashing your way through in a cRPG game?

Try and dedicate some time to read the manual as this can also come in handy.

Yeah, manuals can actually be read...

After each stage of the adventure is completed, the next stage increases in difficulty level.

    Wouldn't have guessed...

To sum it all up, Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone is really a whole bundle of fun with enough depth to keep you entertained.

Yeah, depth. The rest can be found on Gameplanet.
