[IMG] I was wondering, since I have never forwarded a BG character to BGII, what if you don't have one (or more) of the characters that BGII loads you with? If you ended the game with Vicona, will she end up in your beginning BGII game? Or are the BGII beginnig set in stone?

The term is importing. If you don't have a character to import into BG2, you'll just start a new one with 161k XP (I think... it's 161... give or take some). You only import your main character anyway, no NPC info or actual characters import as they were in BG1. You meet them in BG2 (or not), as the developers put them.

Anyway, this should be in the BG2 forum...

It's hinted in the start sequence that there's been some interval between the end of BGI and BGII. So in that time you could have said farewell to your companions in BGI, and maybe met new people before BGII starts. It's up to you, how you want to interpret it.

Actually, you get 89K experience at the start of BG2, unless you have imported your TotSC game (yes, only TotSC and then you get 161K). I think that it is also possible to import multiplayer characters.

[IMG] Yes and when you import at 161K XP Minsk (a level 8 Ranger) won't have his one spell. After the level-up to 9 he gets both his level 1 spells he should have.

And you can start a multi-player game, then copy a save into the single-player save folder and play the game a lot easier.
