full screen mode

    Hello army of friendly BG helpers,

    I have a display problem.
    I'm running BG on a new windows 7 subnotebook, which has a res of
    1366 x 768.

    I started a game having only plain bg, without Totsc. Chosing "full screen" lead to a mode, that used the maximum possible height of the screen, and remained the aspect ratio. I liked that.

    Now i did several things:
    1, I used the notebook for streaming on a big monitor (changed display settings for that)
    2, installed Totsc.

    What now happend was that suddenly the full screen mode is filling up the whole display, but doesn't keep the aspect!

    I checked the settings, and even tried to install the "widescreen-mod" which i failed to install properly. (it keeps looking for .exes that are not there, which is another topic)

    On my normal monitor, i can change the setting from "fill" to "keep aspect" and such. But I never saw something like that on a notebook... or did i not look thoroughly enough?

    The widescreen mod is the only solution I can think of. Are you sure you did the installation proper? Did you read the readme? You have to place the files in your main BG install directory (widescreen folder and setup.widescreen.exe).

    BG itself doesn't support that resolution so it will always get stretched in full screen mode.

    I wil doublecheck all what you mentioned.

    It's just so weird that it did work smoothly before Totsc...

    found a setting panel i haven't found before that let you keep the aspect ratio"...
