[IMG] The funniest thing that happened to me about d&d (about d&d, yes, I've never played that sh*t actually except computer games based on tiny parts of it):

I've met more than one person that hates d&d more than I do! My my, I said, God really exists!

[IMG] .... IS when our group had hidden in a portable hole whose entrence of 3x3 feet should be placed on a any kind of solid surface.

We then closed the hole to handsize and tried to strecth and compress the hole from the inside to advance the wall, kinda like how a snail moves. That was pretty funny.

OF course the Guards found this moving hole in the wall too suspicious. :)

I've also never played D&D around a table with pen and paper. The closest I've come is during a current game with Gnolyn, Sprite, Invoker, Vormaerin and Zorac. This is 3rd edition via OpenRPG (a chatroom basically).

Anyway, I started thinking about funny stuff from other games then remembered I'd done something like this before. So here's the link:

Used to play the game, but left after taking up WFRP. Funniest moment was a time involving several wights and an illusory field of poppies. Didn't exactly come off. Playing Ravenloft at the time, which I think is the only setting I ever played a P&P D&D game in.

Still WFRP and FF (the latter played a lot during breaks at primary school, once invloving actual violence :D).

Oh, there are a few... some are far too crude to mention, but here's probably the best by far:

Our DM is a black guy with a HUGE afro, and he's a funny guy to begin with. We're all about 17, and we're hanging out in a community center type room place all by ourselves playing DnD. My friend's and my familiar were kidnapped by an imp, who wanted some of our blood in return for our familiars back-

*said with a contorted face, bulging eyes, and an infernal imp-like voice:

DM: So, how about it, whattya say, a little BLOOD for your WEASEL?

that alone had us laughing a little- but here's the kicker- just then we realized a little girl, say 8 or 9, had walked into the room just then, and was looking horrified at the DM, who was kinda frozen in a crazy, wide-eyed grin. She screamed, slammed the door, and ran down the hall.

immediately we just all started rolling on the floor, one of my friends literally fell out of his chair, and i blew soda out of my nose. It was just perfect timing...
