funniest NPC reactions

It's probably been done before, but then again, so has everything else.

Mine is Bondari when you get the Bronze Pantalettes. I also just saw a banter between Kedldorn, Cernd and Valygar which was prety funny. They were debating their beliefs and Keldorn called Cernd an ass. I guess Paladins can use the word "ass".

 

Yeah, that's a good one. I'm also fond of a Minsc/Saravok/Jan bit I found hilarious.

 

I'm taking both Edwin and Viconia in my party for the first time, and they react to eeach other in a very "interesting" way .

 

I laughed my ass off when Cernd and Kelsey had a banter in Saradush. Cernd tells Kelsey about some "attention" Kelsey had been getting, while asleep, from a female jackal. Kelsey freaked out. Kudos to jcompton or whoever wrote that one!


Another one I love is when Jan attempts to steal Boo from Minsc. Classic.

 

I laughed pretty hard when Edwin went on about his "erotic onslaught". Also, the interactions with Edwina are pretty funny.

Korgan and his english are funny as well as most of his NPC interaction, especially with Viconia.

Sarevoks dealing with the lesser beings is always fun.

I love the bit in TOB when Imoen tries to pickpocket Keldorn and to cover up she starts coming onto him!

Classic.

 

Not much better than being to say to Edwin, "Nice rack"

Maybe I shouldn't piss him off so much, at this stage of the game he could wipe out my little theif without breaking a sweat

 

I like the one when Aerie is wondering about the urges that Imoen feels from the Bhaal essence that whole dialogue is great.

 

Well I can't really clearly remember anything from BGI but some of the funniest things I have EVER heard in BG or real life were in BG.

Just a couple days ago, my character makes it through the Shade Lord dungeons, managing to keep his whole party alive, and slowly climbs the stairs to the Shadow Dragon, rubbing his hands together in anticipation, all psyched up for the fight. He knows he's really not that powerful right now, so he's thinking of all these battle tactics, strategies, and contingencies. His resolve unshakable, he goes to take a step to see the Dragon, heart beating furiously. This is the last thing he wants to hear.

Jaheira: "This may be a bad time, but I brushed your question away before, and I want to answer it..." And she yammers on about why she's a druid.

Uh... bad timing? Damn right.

I laughed so hard at the perfectly ironic timing, and proceded to send her alone to take the wing buffet and breath attack.

 

NPCs that say funny stuff: Cespenar, beholder guardnig chest in Sauhaugin(sp?) city, Minsc, any many others.

About the repeating, why not?. All the new members that join SP may not have seen one. (not me included, I've seen two or three by now.... )

 

ah i remember another one. jaheira said while i was travelling the demon plane :
"nature could find a home here if it was properly cleansed and balanced".

 

Jaheira says that about the Underdark too. Silly druid.

Viconia asks Minsc if some nursery fingerpainting class assaulted him with blue pastels. He responds: "Minsc's face is the face the ladies love! Boo loves it too. Don't you, Boo, don't you?" The way he says it is HILARIOUS.

I also love when Mazzy get so irritated with one of Jan's dumb stories that she yells at him to "Shutup shutup shutup shutup shutup shutup!!!"

 

Top 3 NPC interactions, IMHO:
1. Minsc and the pirate captain on the pirate isle (the isle's name escapes me right now)...I think I've cried from laughing every single time I've gotten to that point and read that dialogue.
2. Jan's story to Anomen about "an orc named Ano"...absolutely side-splittingly funny, as is Anomen's not-so-paladinly response
3. (not so sure about this one, but I can't think of a better one right now) And a little Sarevok-Jan dialogue in ToB that's pretty good ("Binky?! You had best not be addressing ME, gnome!")...hehehe
