Up until last year my job involved a lot of income tax work and I have seen more than my fair share of B/S tax rulings but I don't see anything wrong with this one.

She is basically taking a course that directly relates to her occupation which is acting in a certain manner in order to entertain people. I am sure that there are lots of tricks of the trade involved in convincingly using crystal balls/magic tricks/whatever that a normal person wouldn't know about.

How is this any different than any other performing art course? If a mime went to a course on miming would that not be a deductible expense?

I'm against divorce from marriage but that's surely enough of a ground to break up from a relationship. If the chatting becomes cyber sex, it's enough of a divorce ground IMHO, as well, on a legal level (already mentioned my opposition to divorce). A powerful inclination towards that form of spending time in a married person can also mean inability to stay faithful to the spouse, possibly enough ground to make a Catholic marriage canonically invalid if the weakness was already there before marriage was concluded (I would be surprised if they ruled in favour of validity). Even if the unfaithful spouse got the idea already after getting married, I think it would still be enough for relevant Catholic ecclesiastic authorities to grant separation.

BTW, I remember a divorce granted in Poland because of the wife sharing a hotel room with a male.
