Hey...I saw a topic about the most emotional scenes of the game!!!
What about discuss about the funniest parts of it???
For me the part of the game I laughed til I cry was the dialog with the Beholder Spectator within the Drow City near the Sahuagin City-of-Caverns!!! And for you???

[IMG] Just got 2 words: Jan Jansen! Funniest thing in the game, seriously, his storys are just unbeatable.

Spectator was by far the funniest for me.

Honourable mention goes to the innkeeper and his son over at Umar Hills. (The spoof on Blairwitch project)

No...really! When I first talked to the Spectator, and he said (it's not perfect as in the game, but I'll try to be near its goal) "...oh, that sahuagin king asked me to scare who tries to touch this chest...so...boo!"
Man I almost fell from my chair! It's not commom to see such a humor in games like this!!! It was very funny...very very funny!!!

There is a very extensive thread in the ToB forum about this. I'll post a link if the mods let me.

Anyway, Bioware put a lot of effort into putting comedy and liveliness into this game. You're correct, many game companies overlook that.

[IMG] That's why I love this game!!! Some say Diablo is this, Diablo is that..but, I tell you something, I finished Diablo II once, and I had no patience nor the will to finish it again...when I reached the third act (let's say true and cruel, this is the most sheet part of the game)I almost spit my stomach out!!! BG2 IS the game!!!! Humor, emotion, fear, romance, adventure, action... there's something more to be put in a game to be perfect???Yes...your thoughts can be almost completely included by the actions of the main character...you! And BG2 has it!!! Long live BG2!
