I dont know what kind of problem i have, but every time i try to enter drow city the game crashes. The area starts loading just as it should, but when the "loading-circle" is at about 1/3 the game either freezes or crashes to windows. I have tried patching but that makes nothing. Would very much like some help here...

If you have a full install, there are points where the game can crash because the data has not been copied correctly. You may need to recopy a cd.

Reinstall the game, but make it full installation.

That was what I was afraid of, since i only have a 4 Gb hard drive, and cant free more than 1 Gb... =/ Ill try rebooting a few times, see what happens, and if all else fails Ive got a new computer shipping in soon. Thanks for the help!

Btw i'm actually playing the game on my PII 233, so i guess that might have something to do with it...

Oh, I wasn't aware of your HDD size, sorry.
Anyway, BG2 needs some space for caching files, so instead of making a full installation, perhaps making some more free space on the HDD would solve your problem. Try with deleting temporary files and uninstalling things that you don't use.

Look...I don't think the problem is with your computer! Mine is AMD-K6 2, a little worse than yours...and it runs perfectly, if not for some problems with a few patches and fixpacks...maybe the problem is easier than it appears, maybe some file is corrupted, I don't really know...but I'm posting just to show that the problem isn't your machine. I hope you can solve it quickly, I know how is to be "stopped" before finishing the game.
    Good luck!

Ok, good point... Perhaps this is just about some invicible scratch on the CD. Im really getting the feeling that only a full install will solve this. (Btw could loading the game in multiplayer mode solve anything? If that is possible ,I mean.)

    Just install it again!
