Game crashes

    im haveing trouble with the box set it will start the movies but then when it get to the start game screen it crashes to top it off the my orginal game(iwd1) comes up with an error (an assertion failed in ChDimm.cpp at line582 programer says; unable to open;data\guimos.bif ) this site has helped me in the passed hope you can help now thanks for your time and trouble

    [​IMG] There's a similar problem mentioned on the IWD1 forum
    It was an 8 year old post, though. Happened before IWD2 even came out.
    I'm thinking you should check if the original game needs actual CDs, coz for some reason it won't work with disk images.
    Perhaps the IWD2 issue is separate from this, and may involve some Vista incompatibility, or resetting your graphics to accomodate your videocard.
