Check the whole configuration, maybe some settings are just too high for your computer?

Have you ever had a problem such likes this with other games?

You know.....i hate to say this but it is probably just your computer.
Run virus scan or something and also check your disks to make sure they ain't dirty or scratched.

by some games, the crash is caused by icq, had that a few times myself.

well, it seems it was just an off day becuase it hasnt done it again since then. now all that i have a problem with is characters repeating themselves like Keldorn. is he supposed to say "Gort(?) is on our side this day!" twice?

[IMG] Yeah, I get that problem occasionally. What I find is that if it gets out of hand with the crashing, then wipe the computer COMPLETELY, re-install the stuff that you need (obviously BG 2, I cant live without this game :D ) and that normally works, but if you have already done that recently, then there may be something wrong with the internal systems or something. Hope this helps, It may be a little OTT for a single game but for my computer, I have to do this often.

Playing around with shadow keeper can also make the game crash at some points!

heyhey, no problem with cheating, if people wanna play it that way, so be it.

I removed the exp-cap once and leveled a monk with sk up to lvl 40 :D
I could kill everyone in Athkatla, now that is fun!

then I returned to my serious roleplaying game of course :)

When I began, I had performance problems (no crash - yet) and the culprit was a process running in the background. ZoneAlarm caused performance problems when I played IWD and it was causing poblems again. I just shut it down before I play.
(Now, don't anyone go and tell people I have troubles performing :D )
