Game Crashing

    [​IMG] An Assertion Failed in CHDIMM.cpp at line mumber 11308 is the Message I get when Attempting to leave the area In Shaneguard Ford(SP?The Area I am Attempting to Leave is the Orc Dam Area, where to get across you have to get some lumber and make a bridge, well I do that and when I attempt to enter the next area the game crashes to desktrop and gives me that error message, I Just recently installed Icewind Dale 2 and have the latest Patch(2.01)So can anyone tell me what is going on?

    You have tried more than once I suppose? If your savegame is corrupt you may try to load another savegame (any quicksave or autosave available?) I haven't had any problem with this area so I can't really help you out :( the good thing though is that you're not too far into the game (try to load your most recent savegame and replay the area, hopefully it won't crash this time)

    I had this problem in the fell wood (a bit further on than the Ford) and found that some of the game files had been corrupted during the installation. I used Beyond Compare to compare the CD2\Data files with the ones on my hard disk, 3 of them were corrupt. Now that I've fixed the files I can get back to playing the game :)
