Game problem...

    I have recently decided to play BG 1 again, so I scanned HD and defraged it. Then I installed the game jus fine. Then went to play and after selecting start game, I get a error BGMAIN.EXE , then game crashes to desktop. I thought it may have been CD so I bought BG 1 again uninstalled BG1 then re-installed it. And still same problem, so now I am unsure of what to do. Any help would be very appreciated.

    Nope, I had no idean there was a patch for that. I had searched around a bit but never turned anything up. And from what I read from the patch message it seems to be the fix. I thank you for you help friend. I was wondering if I was going to ever get to play BG1 again. Going to re-instal BG1 now and try out the patch, thank you again.

    Well I installed BG1, DLed patch and and it works like a charm. I would have posted sooner but I been busy. Anyway thank you for the help, I very much appreciate it. I figured that directX 7 or 8 was the problem, just wasnt sure what to do about it. Just recently found this site and figured it wouldnt hurt to ask.
