I've run into a problem where not only am I unable to save my game but I also can't rest in any of the Inns. I have the following mods installed:

    Banter Pack
    Dungeon be Gone
    Kelsey SOA/TOB/NPC
    Flirt Pack
    Unfinished Business

I did install all the required patches before installing any mods. Game was working fine till I put in the Debug Mode=1 and Cheats=1 in the .ini file, both where they were supposed to be. Is the problem I'm having related to that?Any suggestions?

Never seen that before. Sounds like you need to reinstall.

I forgot to mention at the time that Aerie had died, she's good at that. Is it possible you can't save when you have a dead party member still in the group? I loaded the game back to the previous save point, she lived through the encounter this time and I've had no more issues with not being able to save.

The game prevents you from saving and resting when enemies are nearby. In rare instances, "combat mode" can extend beyond a combat, at which point you still cannot save or rest (though Autosave still works) even though there are no enemies anywhere in sight (or even on that area map). It's one of those odd glitches that happen with the engine for no traceable reason.

[IMG] Go into a different area so it autosaves then load up again. It's an annoying little bug the patch doesn't get rid of. Gues it's just one of those things. I got stuck in the Sahuagin city like it. Had to go to the Underdark to rest and get all my spells and such back.

    Do you have ToB installed?

No, don't have ToB installed yet. This may be a stupid question but does installing it now, when I'm only in Chapter 3, effect anything? If that bug happens again I'll try the Autosave option but so far so good. Thanks for all the advice.

Well, some bugs are ToB-specific (meaning, they only come up if you have ToB installed, even if you play only the SoA portion of the game). It makes sense installing ToB right away if you have it, since it raises the XP cap and integrates more directly into the game. Don't forget to get the ToB patch after you install ToB.

However, since you have all those mods installed already, you'll probably have to uninstall everything and begin from scratch, as I don't think you can "upgrade" those mods to ToB like you can the game itself.
