The event entitled "Games for Women, Games by Women" is going to happen on Saturday, February 18 from 1 pm to 6 pm at the Fort Mason Conference Center in San Francisco. Here's a snip:

Women in Games International today announced a conference simply titled "Games for Women, Games by Women." The focus of the conference will be the belief that women aren't into gaming, with serious discussion involving statistics, genres and careers in game development. "Games for Women, Games by Women." will take place Saturday, February 18 from 1 pm to 6 pm at the Fort Mason Conference Center in San Francisco.

"Games wouldn't be what they are today without the combined ideas and technical skills of both men and women on the development teams," states Kathy Schoback, Development Chair for Women in Games International and VP of Content Acquisition for AGEIA in Mountain View. "WIGI is providing a forum to get industry leaders together to share insights and inspire even more women to join this exciting field."
