So what are the gas (petrol) prices in your area? Around here, they are as low as $2.09-$2.15 for 87 octane. We have three levels of gasoline quality...87 octane, 89 octane and I forgot the third (I only use 87) I know some of the more rural areas also have 85.

For how much? And asuuming you mean the same as petrol, by 'gas'?

Here, near london, it's around £0.77 - £0.83 per litre.

I remember , back in the day, when it was only £0.51 per litre.

Well in the Netherlands we are pretty ****ed when we speak about gas prices. Last time I fueled up it was about 1.13 euros the litre. So a full gas tank costs me around 40 euros or more. That's almost the same price as a printer cartridge which are IMO way overpriced.

And with this war going on tomorrow I guess the prices will go up even more.

87 and 89 octane? We have 95 and 98 here. But the cars I drive use diesel, and right now it costs 8,50 NOK pr litre (about 1,1-1,2 USD).

$0.79 Canadian per litre was the price on the pumps on my way to work this morning. That works out to about 0.5 Euro / litre. Really fairly low compared to what most people in Europe pay but it does not stop us from whining about gas prices. Of course the fact that the price has doubled in the last five years might have something to do with that.

As for IotD's quetion about how much I would assume that Elios' price is quoted in U.S. dollars per U.S. gallon (3.7854 litres)which would make it about $0.55 U.S. per litre or about 0.52 Euro/litre.

Just above a dollar per litre here. When I was in the states I was delighted at the cheap gas price! I could full up my rental car for next to nothing!

[IMG] Elios, that's what you get for living in California. Here in NC gas has been hovering around $1.60.

Well Blog I guess it depends on where exactly in Canada you live. I am fairly sure that there is a provincial portion included among the numerous hidden taxes we pay on gasoline plus I have always found that if you buy gas in the suburbs of a major city (like I do) that you pay less then you would either in the major city itself or in a smaller town.

@All Europeans: US prices are $/GALLON. Yes, no matter how much we complain, we're only 1/4 (roughly) as bad off as you.

In MY section of the east coast, prices are around $1.80/gallon for 87 octane, $1.90/gallon for 89 octane, and just under $2.00/gallon for 92 octane. Diesel is about $2.15/gallon.

If I didn't have to pick up my son from daycare after getting off my train, I'd ride my bike to the train station. While he loves to ride in the trailer, I don't think I could get there before they close.

Yup, we're still fuming about the 3-cent hike that the liberals imposed on gas prices that neighbouring provinces probably don't have.

10-12 EEK (Estonian Crown). Fairly OK, I think.
