Gauntlets of Ogre Power Not Working

    I got the gauntlets of ogre power and my thief (level 14 Elf assassin) can wear them, but it wont raise the str to 18/00, instead it's still stuck at 17.. is this a racial limitation? I chose Elf for rp reasons and I'll still stick with it, just wish I coulda used it.. Or maybe it's a bug?

    I think it should work. You don't happen to have the shield of Balduran equipped or so?

    I believe there's also a bow that lowers you strength, but I don't know.
    The shield also lowers it, but I think the assasin can't use both, as he can't use a shield and he can't use a long bow (if it even exists, it might not)...

    Nope, I don't have anything equipped that lowers str, but the gauntlets doesn't raise his str from 17 to 18/00 either :/

    Hm. It's probably a bug.

    However, don't weep, just put 'em on another NPC who has lowsy strength. STR17 is pretty good.
