    Do you want the govt or a private corporation holding your digital leash?

    Aside for violating a person's privacy by tracking their every move, image how easy it would be to put a little nerve toxin in the rice sized chip. If everybody had such a chip, they could be 'dealt' with before they got a chance to cause real trouble. Speak out against the powers that be, drop dead on the soap box. Sends a powerful message, don't you think?

    I see it's benafites but come on. We all ready can be tracked by phone, creit card, ect. Any thing electronic can be traced. Teconalgy is heading us down a dark road no matter how much they say that it's for the better.

    More Brave New Worldish - vey spooky stuff indeed...

    There are people looking into chips that could be put into brains, along similar ideas of those remote control rats that were in the news a week or so ago. For humans, benefits are obvious - imagine a prosthetic (sp?) limb which can be controlled by thought alone... Misuse is probably very simple indeed...

    [​IMG] WHAT?! gattaca was an excellent film, but yes it was prophetic.

    i know someone who works for military intelligence (oxymoron?), and trust me, you don't need a chip in you for 'big brother' to find out your past activities.

    however, the 'benefits' laid out in the article could just as easily be written down on a card. personally, i think it's a conspiracy to get everyone tagged via the backdoor, but then i'm a cynic. :grin:
