[IMG] When I lived in Birmingham, AL, a friend and I started a paranormal investigation group. I now moved to CA and would like to continue doing that here. I live near Temecula (between San Diego and Los Angeles). Is there anyone near this area who
    a) is part of an exisiting group
    or
    b) would be interested in starting such a group?
If so, PM me, or post here. I am not looking into doing anything illegal and taking the matter seriously and investigation reports of paranormal activity.
Also, if anyone has had any experience with the paranormal or is part of a group elsewhere in the world, please share your experiences here.

Well, just wondering, do you get that phony guy with the TV show who speaks to dead people where ever you are? If so, pay careful attention to the fine print in the credits and learn what a brilliant fraud he is

I've seen the show. But never read the credits. What does it say?
Our investigation group was called Dixie Paranormal Investigations. We approached it very seriously and took it as doing scientific research. We used different types of equipment, i.e. EMF detectors, IR thermometers, cameras. We kept logs of everything occuring. If we got a picture with something in it, we analyzed the picture with photosoftware, analyzed the negative, compared the time the photo was taken to our logs (to see if there was an EMF reading or temp reading when the picture was taken).

I can't join either (NC) even though I'd love to, but I do have a paranormal story:
In our old house in Rochester. My mom and I were cooking in the kitchen and my stepfather wasn't home. My mom was saying something, and then stopped and said "Hey, hold on, I think Dave (My stepdad) is home. So we waited for about five minutes for him to come in from the garage. After this time, when he hadn't, my mom told me to go check to see if it was him that she had heard. So I went over to the door that seperated us from the garage and put my hand on it--just as I did, before I could grip it, the knob turned in my hand. Thinking that this was Dave coming inside, I grabbed the handle fully and pulled the door open. No one was there. The garage door was shut. And my stepfather didn't come home for another 20 minutes. It's not really a terribly big thing, but it freaked me out.

It says 'Research was conducted before the airing of this show' (or something like that)
So nice of them to tell us that they're frauds
