I read a post at BGII forum, the one titled 'About Romances...' and noticed that people think that girl gamers are rare...

    I think not.

So; ALL GIRL GAMERS HERE UNITE! (Sorry about caps... had to do so :))

Let's show that yes, there are girls who play computer games.

My real name is Johanna,I'm 16, and from Finland. Others?

[IMG] Is not Kaylinne Johanne a girl? If he is not I am a bit sorry but it sounds like a womans name. :

I kind of had a feeling that I would be upbraided for that post. I have an aversion against using apostrophes. When i write schoolwork and other things in word or other wordediting programs I let the spell and grammatic check fix it as I go.
But my nick should not have a capital letter. My nick is joacqin not Joacqin there is a difference. My name is Joakim but my nick is joacqin it is intentional.
And Nobleman (i do not understand why you changed your nick now I have to change my way of thinking and we all know how hard we humans do that) no hard feelings. The thing is I *know* how to spell correctly but as Shralp and Taluntain said many are too lazy and I am one of them.

[I believe that nick has a man behind it. I seem to recall Extremist being upbraided for assuming it was a woman. - BTA]

    Tjekanefir is a woman.

    Headbanger is not a woman

Kailynne is not a woman. (Remember the spelling Joacqin. And Joacqin while we are at it remember to capitalize and use apostrophes. Instead of "isnt" it goes isn't and instead of "im" it goes I am. And.. uhmm hmmm just checking something. No you are not english so you can't get Tal's new genious plaque anyway. Don't worry)

Ps. Does it work Tal? To implement better grammar? Or is it a charade? :p :D

EDITED HERE: Joacqin, No hard feelings. I just used you as an example of how the future of the boards would work if it was up to Tal and Shralp. Oh. heh. It is up to Tal :borg: :mommy: :D

You know, I was wondering about this also. We women gamers do seem to be in the minority. Why? Why don't more women like computer games? Any ideas?

[IMG] It's technical stuff, especially RPG and RTS games. There is a lot of challenges in those two types of games, and I think maybe boys like that better than girls. The few girls I know who play computer, play more what I call "braindead"-games. There you don't have to think so much of the consequenses of your actions. In CRPG and RTS games you have to think about how things will be in 15 minutes or even several hours ahead, and it's all very strategic. Probably a guy thing this, just as real life war is ;).

Here comes trouble!... girls like to play "braindead" games? Is that because girls are braindead Mollusken? You are surrounded by females and make that comment! You will be castrated buddyboy... Lorena Bobbit style! off with the member with a carving knife and out the car window with it! hehe

My hair is since yesterday a bit shorter again so no-one will say I'm a female next month :) I am a man. But I love this topic for I am a girl-freak :)

Another question: Can all girls that reply also include a photo of themselves? :)
