dont know if this is new to anyone, but already from the very start of the game you can have unlimited identification by buying the Glasses of Id from the guy above Gaelan, taking the slaves quest and picking up the wolf-bag? Just place the glasses in the bag, take them out again, identify an item, put them back in, take them out, identify again, put them back in and doing that over and over using it infinitely? Just noticed, heh.

Never mind that that's a bug exploit...

It's a bag at least i found in the copper coronet on the guard that keeps the key to Hendak's cell. Don't think you can find it anywhere else though, but i'm no expert. :)

But the "bug exploit" works with the bag of holding to. And if it indeed is a bug explot should it not be fixed along with all the other things that are such?

Erm, it originally comes with three charges and recharges after resting, so I don't see too much sense in this exploit. It doesn't hurt the gameplay though, you just save yourself a few days over the game's course.

The wolfskin bag is restored by Unfinished Business. IIRC it's a bag of holding found in the Copper Coronet that can hold about 5 or 10 items.

It's a common bug. It happens because the game treats every container as a "store". And by "selling" the item and "buying" it back again, you will recharge it. TRy it with a normal store and you'll see...

Just play a bard throught the whole game, reimport him for a multiplayer session-or play the game again with him-,see how he gets knowledge 100% and that's how you get fair infinite identifying.

I think that when you used Glasse of ID, you just have to rest for 8 hours, and then you can use it again. I always repeat that process.

Even with the last official patch, there are still hundreds, if not thousands of bugs left in the game. It's just that most of them are minor or unnoticable - until something as specific as this comes up. BioWare isn't going to fix any more, however. But there are sites like Baldurdash out there, which document literally hundreds of bugs left in the game even after the final patches.

Does this work with wands and other such things?

    @ Morsmordre
It surely works with rechargable items.
I exploit this bug with the Girdle of Fortitude, to boost Con for Viconia and Haer'Dalis. Shame on me.

So Unfinished Business puts a bag of holding at the start of the game which (unintentionally) recharges wands? A fully charged wand can be sold for a fair amount of GP. And Jons dungeon gives you 6 wands.

Are you pondering what I'm pondering? :D ;)

    Better stop pondering. :p
That trick only works with items, which have a charge per day. Horn of Blasting, the harps etc. Wands wont be charged. I think.

If you're really set on getting free wand charges/ selling charged wands, pickpocket is your friend. You can sell the wand, steal it back, then sell it again, unless the store doesn't accept stolen goods. It can get cheesy, but what thief would turn down the occasional heist?

I have never been good in stealing from shops somehow. They catched me very often.

    lol, me too Baronius :)

Unless I take Haer'Dalis. Which isn't very often, because he annoys me.

True, bards are great at pickpocketing. But even Imoen can do it with a few Potions of Master Thievery.
