i fought my way to the last battle.i hurt isair enough that they teleported.they complained about their pool being messed up.then they stunned everyone and killed us all.that happened twice, but i figured out a strategy of positioning my people to avoid everyone being stunned.then, the next 4 times in a row, after they teleported and whined about their pool, the attack started, and they were both uninjured.completely healed up.that shouldn't have happened.there was no way i could beat them when they started the second phase uninjured.i got so disgusted,i uninstalled it and started neverwinter nights.i'll think twice before i buy a used pc game again

You have to purify the sacred pool before the fight or the pool heals them back up to full when they teleport and gives them fast healing I believe while they are in it. The game's actually suppose to operate that way.

Madae's casting of the spell Blasphemy does a variety of things to your characters of non-evil alignment depending on how many hit dice your characters have compared to Madae's caster level (no save), one of those is stun or paralysis.

Well, patches do generally fix 'glitch'es so that you won't be 'glitched'. Also I do not see how an used pc game can intentionaly cause glitches... :p

Anyway, Ilmater's Suffering is right, keep your good aligned characters away from Madae so she can not spit blasphemy on them. Or use a protection from magic scroll on Madae, this will dispel all of her buffs and make it impossible for her to cast spells! I think there are only two of these valuable scrolls available in the entire game.

It does happen at times. I've experienced the same thing a number of times before, but most of the time they only become barely injured... not fully healed...

I have to second Silverstars statement 'bout "buying used PC games". It doesn't matter if it's old... just patch it.

...that's why you need a lot of summons. Let them cast their spells at your summons (not to mention you need them to deal with the dreaded knights of Xvim... or so they're called). Those guys are tough. But once they're done with their spells, they revert to melee, which either way, still hurts... A LOT!!! Have them go after a fast tank and let the others attack with ranged weapons and spells (after their "anti-magic" buffs are down... which takes time). But I have to say, a good archer and a few quiver of +5 arrows hurts them as much as they hurt you. ;)

I wouldn't resort to melee though, Isair wields scimitars that stun (just as annoying as Blasphemy)

I cheesed Isair and Madae to win. I had Isair chasing my Enchanter who simply ran around the entire fight following the trip to their lovely pool. I had whoever Madae was chasing trying to attack, following after Isair and whoever the Slayer Knights of Xvim where attacking follow Madae. In turn my Barbarian followed after the Slayer Knights, along with, I think my Paladin in boots of haste. Took sometime, but made for a pretty easy fight.

Aye, Isair's scimitars do nasty things such as stun/poison/disease...avoid melee contact with him and keep him busy with summons so he can not sneak attack your casters! If he does say good bye to your caster, he hurts a ton and stuns your caster, and then blasts them into tiny chunks of meat!

Mordenkainen's Sword is highly effective against the twins. Hits easily thanks to massive attack bonus and does nice damage, if coupled with Improved Haste it is deadly! I had two characters capable fo casting it once (a sorc and a transmuter) and they did the most of the damage to Isair from a very safe distance. I think Isair is easiest to hurt since he can not heal himself. Remember to concentrate on one twin only, you only need to badly injure one of them!

Use anti-summon spells such as Banishment/Dismissal against the ugly summons the twins can conjure up. Also find and kill the invisible summoner guy in the battle fast, dispel his invisibility and finish him off with a Finger of Death or Disintegrate , you will be suprised how easy the whole battle becomes when there are no enemy summons around.

i did purify their pool.they kept complaining about it,in fact.they still were uninjured when that second battle started.a used pc game may not be bad.it might just be this one that glitched.another point.i also thought one only had to be badly injured for the battle to end.once,i had isair almost dead, and they still kept coming till all my people were dead.i think i just got a defective game.but thanks for all the good advice.i really do appreciate it.i just hope neverwinter nights is in better shape
