[IMG] OK, I want to create a troubled, CN gnome sorcerer for my next run. This is my character in an online real D&D game, and I really grow quite fond of him, so I want to play him in BG2 too! He is a very complex fellow, who likes acting a lot:generally to look shy and weak, only to fire his destructive power when he is hapless; or sometimes he is suprisingly bully and dangerous looking:he just acts whole time, and is completely unpredictable:hence the CN alignment. :p

How can I create a gnome sorcerer via SK? Should I create a human sorcerer normally, then switch its race to gnome? Will this work without trouble, and most importantly, will he get gnome saving throw bonuses? What about romances, will he be able to get non-gnome romances? (even those introduced by mods?)

Or should I create it by the other way around, first a gnome illusionist, then change it to sorcerer? I have no idea how this will affect his spell-book, though, as Sorcs have a totally different spell book system AFAIK.

    Any suggestions?

Last time in BG I really wanted a Gnome sorcerer, but had to go with Gnome illusionist. SK seemed too messy, so no is my opinion on that.

Oh, was it THAT bad? What have you done? Cheated a gnome illusionist to a sorc? Why didn't it work? Can the other way around work?

I think SK could help, I dont find it too frustrating. In fact I'm betting doing it that way will overcome any race/class restrictions, so you shouldnt have any trouble. Changing a gnome single class mage to a sorc shouldnt be any trouble at all. Alternatively you could start with a human sorc and change his avatar and race to that of a gnome.

Last night I got the Deck Of Many things, and was peeved that, just like last time, it disappeared after 3 uses. So I created a new one. Same thing. I could have four decks, and all would vanish. So I had a look in the global variables, and found DOMTCARDSDRAWN. Which was set to 3. I changed it to 0 and I could draw another 3 cards!

    Small victories over nerfing...
