Decided to start again with new party and got to goblin warrens. Just finished first level and when I went to the next level it said I had snuck through only alerting three of the clans. This came as a surprise as I had just walked the entire length of the place killing everything possible, except pondmuk, the goblin you can convince to take his clan away, and that demon thing that asks for a message(at least until the quest is complete). Anyone acyually went to the trouble of sneaking through without being detected?

I have never done it myself, Haggis, but I do know that there is such a reward. I just don't know exactly what triggers awarding these "sneaking" awards. I've never investigated it. And, while I tend to use sneaky tactics more than most, I also tend to kill everything in sight.

You get a good bit of quest XP for sneaking without alerting anyone. The trick is to stealth your way to the spider room, kill one (or more, can't remember) and get the body to a lone goblin just to the south. He'll give you the password for the door near the entrance, and if you then sneak again to the stairs down you get the full XP reward.

The way I did it was to send a lone monk to get the password, then cast Invisibility Sphere and get everyone to the stairs.

What a cool game. Who says there aren't multiple ways to solve things in this game?

But you can still return and kill all goblins for extra XP.

In addition, if you don't allert the whole goblin camps you still get some XP based on how many goblins you did alarmed or not.

Sorry for the thread resurrection but this was never answered satisfactorily.

There's four camps that you need to be aware of - three along the southern part of the warrens and one just north of the drum beside the door you need the password for. (Not the orogs, the one with goblins and trolls.) Sneaking past the three first ones, killing the spiders (yes, all of them) for Pondmuk and turning them in this exact order: 1 regular, 1 queen, rest of the regulars will get you exp for each turn-in. Then you'll get the final extra exp bonus upon entering the next level in the utmost sneaky way.

I've used the Hans cheat before to get me straight to the exit for the next level and got the XP and then gone back and killed everything for the extra XP. I know it's a cheesey way to do it but hey, what can I say?
