"Godhood" - unexpected and inexplicable

    [​IMG] I figure, to maintain whatever credibility I might have as an IWD2 walkthrough writer, I have to go at least once through the Heart of Fury mode and then add some notes on it.

    I'm doing fine with HofF so far, granted that it's with my imported party.

    Anyway, at some point after entering the Eight Chambers level of the Black Raven Monastery, the wierdest thing happens to me.

    I notice that in my records screen, the "next level" line says "Godhood" instead of the amount of XP needed for the next level. I then take a harder look at my record screen. All of my characters, with the exception of my single-class Diviner, are 40+ level. Not only that, they've got stats that would make some of the Faurunian deities blush with shame. My knee-jerk reaction involved a certain profanity.

    So anyway, can anybody explain:

    1) Why my party suddenly morphed into the next pantheon? This isn't bragging. It just happened, and I'm not sure that I'm happy about it.

    2) Why only my single-class Diviner was unable to partake of the glory so to speak?

    Are you sure that it's 40+ level and not 30+ level? When it says "godhood" it means that you have reached the cap. And the cap is for level 30 not 40 so that's strange.

    it seems that this only happenes during Eight Chambers quest. Many have reported this strange encounter. It might be just another bug.

    All character's hp are sky high, all the stats are over 20, etc. It doens't seems that this goddly stats will do any good when it comes to fighting. You can reload the chapter save to replay this area. It's not that far away.

    What's wrong with drow? Yes, she is blonde, her name is Bubble but i am but a slave caged the sage of Viconia. For me, there is only one cleric, a female drow.

    Also, she's white. I'm not being a racist but being a white drow isn't that... possible.

    Also, why don't you just use anyone of the existing drow portraits or d/l the one with Viconia from BG2 to IWDII? But I can understand you, she is THE drow cleric.

    Duh, her name is Bubble. You watch any Powerpuff Girls lately? This is my Powerpuff team.

    edit: i mean because she is Bubble, she uses a whitle blonde portrait even when she is drow.

    I would think so too. To use one example, my Drow character has Rogue 22/ Wizard 24. That's 11d6 sneak damage, loads of wizard spells, and quite the Intelligence modifier for those spells.

    Ah well, my Autosave just before entering the Eight Chambers appears to be fine. I'll try to start over from there.

    Beren,

    this can happen if you save and load the game while in one of the 8 chambers. The character fighting isn't affected but the rest of the party get delusions of You-Know-What ;)
