I have a Conjurer from BG that I want to import to BGII. My question is whether they will keep their spec. mage bonuses/losses (can't scribe/cast opposite school, saving throw bonus, etc.) when I switch them to Wild Mage, or will they lose them, but gain the Wild Mage's abilities. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is possible to make an imported specialist mage a wild mage. I tried it by importing an Evoker and I didn't get a choice to change my specialization or become a wild mage. IIRC you do get a choice to become specialist/wild mage if you import a generic mage.

You can't change schools when importing.

Okay, thanks for the replys. I'll prolly just keep him as a Conjurer then.
