If you have BG2 and ToB and import your character throughout the story then yes they will have a use, but limited to just BG1, there is no apparent use.

[IMG] then what can they do?

I was wondering about those pantaloons, I thought you can't import anything into BG2!

If you had them in your main characters inventory, they'll appear in the first dungeon.

For the most part, most things don't carry over into BG2. I beleive those do and the Helm of Balduran. Otherwise, I don't know. Now some items apear regardless, like the flame tongue sword I beleive.

Anyway, I say spell it in English, not European:p

All the pantaloons are for, is to give them right back to the stupid nobleman and get 100 xp.
