Gong quest

    I know the drill for the gong quest, but I fear I may have a glitch. I've spoken with Roger, done to the druid grove at his direction, and met with Grae the Troll Shaman. Grae is not cooperative no matter what I say, so I killed him. That's it, the end of the line. The thread I found in SoA on this topic says he's supposed to tell me to see the giant, but the shaman says nothing, and when I go to the giant's tower, no giant. Just Belm in a box. Is this a glitch common to having ToB installed? I'm playing through fairly for once and would like to do this quest without resorting to the console.

    Well u probably have tried to load and do it all over agian have u?? if that doesn't work i can't really help u... never had that problem with or without ToB

    I had this happen to me once. I believe the cause is that Grae will surrender and ask for mercy if reduced below a certain hitpoint level but if Grae is killed by the blow that reduces him below that level then there is no possibility for surrender and the gong quest is broken.

    So in answer to your question - if you want to complete this quest you will have to reload a game from before you killed Grae or cheat.
