Good Experience from Walmart

    Since most of the stories I see about Walmart are negative, I found this one more interesting.

    Travis worked for Walmart for a couple of years, and found the experience very positive. He seems to have used it as a stepping stone to bigger things which IMO is what these types of jobs are intended.

    I found his observation at the end the most interesting:

    Frankly, I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that the guy is NOT shilling. Hell, Walmart is a huge company that employs tens of thousands of people, so there's tens of thousands of opinions about working for them. With that number of people, you're bound to find a few who have a positive impression.

    Hehe. He may be a shill; I have no way of knowing. He doesn't appear to be working for them any more though.

    And that's not to say Walmart is a stellar company; I don't really know. I don't even shop there.

    I just thought a positive story about Walmart was interesting since mostly what's in the news about them is negative :)

    Wal-mart has shilled before, you know. There were a group of bloggers who went to every Wal-mart or something to that extent to show how awesome it was. The funding for this trip conveniently came from Wal-mart. Not saying this guy was doing it, I don't know, but if there was any company in the world that I would trust for a second, Wal-mart is the last on that list.
