Which is better killing of an entire race of evil sharks or save a race from extinction. Anyway if anyone has finished this with Keldorn or Anomen do they say anything if you go either side?

Keldorn says that you should leave them to die in the ocean but he didnt mind when i rescued them from extinction. That place is very buggy, one time i found three of those ropes and two keys to the treasury, BUG.

I'm not sure about which is the good solution. Maybe it is slightly easier if you roleplay the extremes of the different types of good:

Lawful Good: destroy all the evil for the benefit of all other honest folk.
Neutral Good: neither option is 'good' so do no extra harm and let it sort itself out.
Chaotic Good: support the rebels and hope that the saved race will become good.

But who know? You can usually twist these things around to suit whatever you want really.

[IMG] I believe siding with the Prince is considered the "good" choice.

Of course they are all evil so the easy way to think, would be to kill all if You are good. But Since this settlement is underseas and is no threath to any good settlements, it is beyond any reason to talk of good and evil. Those definitions only matters if there is interaction between settlements.

Furthermore, since they react friendly or at least hopefull towards the PC-party, it would indeed be evil or "in-honerable" to begin slaughtering them all.
If You choose to support the current government and kill the rebels. You judge them to a slow death. And You should get lots of hints on this. It would be an even more cruel or sinister act of evil.
Helping the race to survive and support the rebel would be the "most good" act to the settlement.
But this is only true if there is no threath to any good settlements nearby.

They eat people. I'm sure that makes them threats. Anyway I only got two magical ropes. 1 from the prince and 1 from the hoard. I got 2 keys too. 1 from the prince and one from the hoard. If you go for a rewards thing though, siding with the king is much better because you get everything you would have gotten from the prince plus the gloves which increase your THACO and damage

As I have understood. This shahugian (oh dear my memory again) city is in the middle of the ocean. I see them as an isolated settlement which only face humanoids very rarely.
But if they prey on trading-whessels on a daily basis. Then they are indeed a threath. And should be wiped out. All of them. And Yes it pays of to kill evils. Getting more magic-goodies

go with the king, and if you wish to access their treasury, just slaughter the king and the rest of them after you have completed the kings task. I think that is the way for maximum reward

No frills - kill them all. They are evil, follow Kheldorn´s advice - the fight is not too hard.

helping the rebels is the good option but the true "good" option it would be to make the king and prince friends and find a middle solution so that everyone would be happy . Even better you could convince them that humans are not so tasty :) and make them eat fishes and such ....

oh you could do all these things but you cant

    :(

[IMG] Well, the best bet IMO is to side with the Rebels. You get more EXP for it. It was worth it for my Ranger/Cleric to lvl up. Finally at lvl 7 spells! Wow. Anyway, I sided with the Rebels and then pick-pocketted the rest of the wave halberd from the rebel prince. You can of course slaughter everyone after siding with the rebels first, but there isn't much EXP in it really. Not much more loot, though.

[IMG] Well Nobleman, as a halfling cavalier I have to say that a graveyard full of dead fishmen is peacful enough for my taste :D

Bringing them to peace is ridiculous - a priest of Illmater solution if you ask me <shudder> the king is an evil madman and the prince a rational evil - bot almost as bad. I´d say kill them.

    [IMG] Two points:

    1. Killing creatures from another society - even if evil as the Sahuagin - is not the natural "good" solution to things. Clearly it's allowed and even recommended in some cases, but respect for life is a typical "good" treat.
Attempt to exterminate an entire city or race will be hard to justify unless your alignment is evil.

    2. Sahuagin fight the drow and thus a strong Sahuagin presence tend to keep the drow from attacking the "good" people.

Do not kill a single soul because of you weaknesses!!!!!!!!!

If you wipe out an entire race it shows not that you are powerful but that you are weak and beyond help. I am ashamed that you would even contimplate such an act.

[IMG] (a) I´m neither a harper nor a druid, so I don´t care for he ballance of power in the underdark. And since I wiped out both drow *AND* shahuagin cities I don´t see the problem here :D
And I didn´t wipe out the entire races of the drow and the shahuagin - just two little cities full of them ;)

    (b) the king, obviously a madfish, wanted me to kill the prince for him for he was just in the mood; the prince treacterously wanted me to betray the king - both inacceptable solutions for Sir Donaldus - he had to fight after they turned hostile when refusing them ...

... as for the drow ... they turned hostile just after I doublecrossed the priest bitches while I was innocently walking down the streets of Ust Natha ...

    ... I didn´t start this ... I never attack blue circled people :)
