This is off-topic, but I'd ask the same about Mystra/Helm/Ilmater paladin's dialogues being possibly different.

I have an Aasimar Morninglord and she rocks...at least I think so...she can lie to npc's, but she is not always successful...I guess her aura of goodness comes through *shrug* I also run a Paladin of Ilmater in the same group as the cleric. I try not to let either of them, or my Monk, talk to most npc's...you really can't control their responces all that much.

Morninglord of Lathander is better, if you want a good spellcaster. They get many offensive domain spells, like Fire storm and Meteor swarm (Spirit of Flame feat is great for Morninglords) But morninglords special abilities (free Improved turning feat and Lathander's renewal) aren't that good.
Painbearers are better warriors, but their domain spells are worse than Morninglords. Finally, Painbearers have a special quest in later game.

Yep,i agree with Harkle,Morninglords have great offensive spells either evocation or fire based. I don't think Priests of Ilmater are good.

The trouble with domain spells is that they are only 1/spell lev. And bonus spell slots don't apply as far as I know. A few questions:

    1. Ilmater, lev 6, Stoneskin. Does it pay, especially that 6 spell lev is somewhat late in game?

    2. Shield of Lathander: as above.

    3. Emotion: Hope (Ilmater 4), Feeblemind (Ilmater 5) Horrid Wilting (9) - are they that good? Other Ilmater spells are just cleric spells of the same level (doesn't seem worthwile).

    4. Lathander's fire spells. Are those only so much praised for just being there or are they particularly useful even 1/spell lev?

The extra stoneskin is good to have. Later on the enemies are many and hit for loads of damage so it would be good to have an extra damage reduction spell.

Also, a extra holy word is great for a good party with 2 strong melee characters. It stuns the enemy (with no save i think) which allows you to regroup and bash away. Horrid wilting is excellent with animate undead of course. Basically I'd go with Ilmater if I have a sorceror already and 2 heavy damage melee characters. Plus Ilmater is a nicer tank with stoneskin and the endurance spell for extra constitution.

It's been said that Ilmaterians get a special quest (have mercy and don't say what it is :D ), how about Morninglords?

I haven't played with both classes, but for me the Tempusians rocks - especially when they are dwarves... And especially when you dual-class them to Fighters and Barbarians lately... And especially with much-much beer... :D

Well... their powers is what probably is perfectly known, preferences matter, I think. But how do you find them RP-wise? Is one significantly more interesting than the other that way?
