    True immersion to the next level

    The first thing that I noticed about the Gothic 1 Remake is how faithful it is to the original's philosophy. You are not given a checklist of objectives or waypoints to follow. Instead, you are dropped into a detailed world, with the freedom to explore wherever your curiosity takes you. The game's open world is compact but dense, filled with secrets, hidden paths, and countless opportunities to discover something new.

    Talking to NPCs is not just a way to pass the time; it is essential to figuring out what to do next. Gothic has always been about immersion, and the remake nails this by making your interactions with the world feel organic. NPCs do not just spout random dialogue, they provide crucial hints, lore, and directions that help you piece together your next move. The world does not revolve around you; you are just another inhabitant trying to make your way, and the only way to succeed is to pay attention, explore, and learn from your experiences.
