Graduation Ceremony

Hi all!

I'm waiting for Teos to show up for the ceremony after finishing all the apprentice tasks. They all survived and left after I had them skip the last tough enchantment task to ensure their safety.

According to Dan Simspon's walkthrough, the ceremony should happen in the sphere after a few minutes. Well, I waited around and nothing happened. I then left, took a nap, and came back and still nothing.

All the other topics I could find in the forum with this same question didn't resolve it.

Does anyone have more info how how to finish this quest?

One thing I did that may have messed it up was to fight the Cowled wizards when they attack for using magic in the city. I got tired of them showing up everytime Keldorn used the Hallowed Redeemer when ambushed. I kept doing this until you get the battle with their highest rank, and then they stopped showing up. I did this before any of the planar sphere, though. It's odd that they would ask me to do things for them, after all that, but there you have it.

Also, I did the mage stronghold quest after spellhold, if that has a bearing on this.

In my last game, I did the quest and I got the ceremony, I also got all three to live.

Anyway, I think that you have to get out of the sphere for the 5 or more minutes like Dan Simpson suggested and then come back in, then Teos shows up, comes to you and inform you of the ceremony.

It was some time ago that I did this, but I remember that I did get the ceremony without problems.

I have completed the mage stronghold quest about 3 or 4 times. The only time I did not get the graduation ceremony was when I had them make the Staff of Power and they all died making it ...But I got the staff! .Even when only one apprentice survives you get the graduation ceremony you just won't get the experience points you get when they all survive.
I think it takes a few days after the apprenti
leave before Teos shows up to inform you of the ceremony. The graduation ceremony then takes place after a few minutes. So do a quest or two or find a way to kill some time. Fighting the Cowled wizards when they attack you for using magic in the city should not make any difference. Once I found out that Keldorn using Hallowed Redeemer would summon Cowled wizards I had him use a different weapon while in the city. There is also fix for this at baldurdash to stop the attacks by the Cowled wizards when Keldorn uses Hallowed Redeemer. If I understand your post correctly and Teos has not informed you of the graduation ceremony then give it a few days and I am sure you will not miss The graduation ceremony.

I guess the timeout was 10 days from the start, so I went away to Trademeet, came back in a few days, and the ceremony was held.

When i did the quest i did not even wait one second

 

How much experience do you get if they all survive? I'm playing an evil magi right now, though, so I'll more likely pick an item than give a rats arse about their safety.

 

50,000 XP and one of them stays in the Sphere as your apprentice.

 

I went with the 50K XP reward myself. I want to get Jahiera up to level 15 Druid, so I'm doing everything I can to max XP.

Does having all survive enable further beneficial outcomes in the mage stronghold quests (like having a permanent potion making apprentice)?

 

As kuemper mentioned, if all of them survive (and only if all of them survive), one of them will return as your apprentice after the last event. He makes potions for you every five or ten days.
