[IMG] These cutscenes in BG1 are cracking me up. First there was "Big Bad Sarevok" and his corny appearance in the intro movie. Sorry if any of you guys liked that one but I can't keep a straight face watching it. Then the bandit camp, I rolled out of my chair when that gnoll randomly knocked a prisoner upside the head. But then, the Cloakwood cartoon is my favorite so far, that wyvern flying by with a cow in its claws has been the most random and hilarious one.

[IMG] I do not think it's funny. The videos in Baldur's Gate are great, and they set you in the mood for playing it.

Seriously? I think they're rather amateurish. But that's understandable since back then when it was made the whole Bioware team was more or less composed of amateurs. (In the sense that it was their first real game they've worked on, of course, don't get me wrong).
    They're a bit better in BG2.

Still, the ones in Torment and Icewind Dale are much better as far as I'm concerned. Obviously BIS has some pro doing the movies bit.

But that's just me. I'm sure some people prefer Bioware-style movies to those BIS makes. ;)

[IMG] The ones in IWD are too boring. But the act videos in Diablo 2, that sure is some good stuff! Have never played PS:T or BG2, but I suppose they're useful.

Oh, definitely. The movies in Diablo are the best I've ever seen, there's no denying that.

The wyvern should drop the cow and let it fly (like that hilarious scene in Twister!) --- or maybe just drop it on someone.

I think the cutscenes in BG are awful, might have been better if there were more of them, for a bit of variety.

Well there's a difference between BG and Diablo. The Diablo-cutscenes tell a story, and the BG cutscenes tells about the environment, not the story in BG1.
