Greatest character?

All those who have played trough whole series, who is the most awesome character in whole series, and just kicks ass?
My own answer is Minsc (and Boo!)

 

Jan. That turnip merchant is still the best story teller ever! My hero!

 

I agree with Takara than Jan is a good one, with Korgan a good contender too.

In BG1 I liked the Branwen comment after being seriously injured
"(groan)It is....but a flesh wound".

 

Korgan is pretty cool, Aerie is sexy (for a computer character), and Jaheira is the comanding B**ch that everyone can't help but love...

But if I had to stick with one character, I would go with Sarevok!

 

It's a toss-up between Minsc and Viconia.

 

I've never taken a paladin all the way through so can't judge that.
Of the ones I have: For fighting; either Minsc or Korgon depending on PC's alignment. For mage-Edwin. I love Jan and he has great spot traps & pick locks skills but Edwin rocks as a Mage. Sarevok you can't pick up until ToB. Think there is a mod for him but I don't have it.

 

Viconia, with Keldorn second.
(Viccy with a str item is awesome, Keldorn with a dex item is awesome. I put Viconia first because I like clerics more than paladins and because she has natural magic resistance.)

 

The Greatest Character? What about the PC? - You are the Child of Bhaal, after all.

OK, so that's not what you meant. I'm going to say (and I'll take a lot of flack for this) - Haer'Dalis. But that's mainly because I love Blades.

 

Jaheira, with Keldorn a close second.

 

Power gamer's stance: Sarevok. Improved Whirlwind with Ravager +6 and Deathbringer's Assault anyone?

Role player's stance: Jaheira. I just love her romance .

 

Favorite Male:
Keldorn (Great 1st tank and spell canceller)

Favorite Female:
Viconia (Huge romance, beautifully-evil, great healer and 1st liner with Strenght + and 50% starting spell resistance)

 

Sarevok is the most interesting character by far.

 

Jaheira's great: tough lady with a kind streak, and an awe inspiring tank/field medic/summoner to boot. Definitely the favoured object of my male pc's affections. Harsh though it is, Neville the cleric/mage cant wait for BG1 to end and Khalid to bite the big one.

Imoen, Edwin and Yoshimo are close contenders too.

 

From the gentleman side i would say Sarevok, i just love his voice. Evil indeed!
As for the ladies, Jaheira without a second thought. It's the only character that i would not ever remove from my party (well, Imoen too, but i like Jaheira more).

 

I think Edwin is one of the best developed characters in the series, with one of the funniest quests ever.

Not to mention that he has the highest number of memorisable mage spells...

 

A day without Korgan is a day without sunshine.

Nobody hits like him and he's the butt of everyone's insults.

 

best male for me is Edwin by far he has so many attributes concerning his upgrades!he gets 2 or 3 extra spells!and the best female is by far viconia!the romance is the better of all other ones and u can make her either a 1st line warrior or a healerthe best part is when u are to enter the drow city
Oh somehting irrelevant: has anyone ever played with a monk above level 15?OH MY GOD they are slaughtering machines! i was at the elf city and you know there are a hell of alot adamantine golems my monk killed (ALONE) 2 which attacked him i couldnt believe what i was seeing dudes a monk is worth to spend some time

Monks were ridiculous in Baldur's Gate 2. Once Throne of Bhaal hit, their power has weaned, mostly due to the rise of Improved Whirlwind, Assassinate, and (of course) the mighty Timestop + Improved Alacrity + Robe of Vecna.

 

Jaheira is number one for me, followed by Viconia.

 

I have to say Minsc, he has all the best lines and Boo is always a top companion to have in the party with great input for tactics and strategy, "squeek queek!!"

He is a wicked dual-wielding tank to have around too...
