Who would like to see Grey Davis remain in office. And who would...not?

I personally dont care. Politics never interested me.

 

Eehm. Sorry for not knowing much of the domestic politics of USA, but.... who the hell is Gray Davis?

Gray Davis is the governer of California, one of our largest and most populous states. IIRC, the state alone has the 5th largest economy in the world. He is being recalled by the people of his state because California's economy went from surplus to immense debt in less than 2 years, for which Californian's blame him almost entirely. There are other issues as well, but that's certainly the biggest. Someone like dmc could probably explain it a little better (being that he's a California attorney and all), but that's my understanding.

I live in Massachusetts so I point and join Jay Leno in laughing at you. Speaking of living in MA, I would just like to say that spamming my emails to tell me to vote for Arnold is the most retardest thing in the world. Firstly, I'm not even 17 (and you need to be 18 to vote) and I live in MA!!! *rolleyes* Spammers are mad pathetic. I've gotten 3 emails telling me to vote (or not vote) for Arnold Swarzanegger.

For those of you not living in the U.S. surrounded by these pointless and pathetic squabbles this recall, although serious and important in nature has turned very much into a joke (even more so then the presidential elections) There are supposed to be about 135 (or so) candidates and among these top (or at least more well-known) leaders are Arnold Swarzannegar (well known for being a robot in the Terminator movies and undercover spies in others such as Total Recall, or True Lies) Gallagher (a comedian who earned his fame by smashing watermelons with a giant wooden mallet) and a Porn movie star whose entire campaign is to remove the tax on lap dances. (Though to be fair to the Californians the candidate last in the lead was Lt. governor of California Chez Bustamante who seems a reasonable and a rational decision)

In the words of Silk to Garion in the Belgariad, "I laugh at the world because otherwise I must cry." Jay Leno (does the Tonight Show, my Aunts knew him in high school so he's kind of a special favorite of mine) apparently agrees with me and has even offered to give free tickets to a taping of one of his shows to all the candidates so they can be on TV. I want to see that, I'm sure it will be either chaotic or at the very least amusing because there will be constant side-comments as most of Jay's jokes are politically based. Ah yes, my greatest fun -- laughing at world leaders.
