[IMG] Here are some ideas reject or accept its up to you ;) >>>>

Choose the one melee weapon as a club. David (good name, David from the Bible, killed Goliath with a sling) can only use club and sling. David is not a magic user? so spells are out of question. Also, consider taking strength down 2 and giving the 2 to wisdom. You'll get a great Halfing with great saving throws (Cheers Ragusa).

Is this "Slinger" a new kit for TDD? Just curious.

[IMG] Halfling slingfighter sounds pretty cool - I evaluated the concept though lost in direct competition with my halfling cavalier :)

Sounds good enough for me :) since slings are excellent weapons, go for it !

Well, i guess i could make him a Human Slinger and then change his Race to Halfling. I think it's dumb Halflings can't be Rangers. :(

And yes, the Slinger is a new kit. It's the equavilant of an Archer (I think)

There's also a NICE Class called the Rythym Warrior. They get a bonus to AC every odd level, and an extra 1/2 attack every 4 (I think)

I made a Halfling one, who started with -2 AC and 7/2 Attacks! I gave him 2 in SS, 2 in Sling, 2 in Single Handed weapon style. with a Shortsword, he gets 4 (!) Attacks a round at lvl 7. But they can't wear armor (Big deal, heh).

Here's an Idea. A Half-Orc Rythm Warrior and a Halfling Slinger. Sound Powerful? Hehe

Indeed cool, especially for Tolkien always said Halflings are very good with stones. In 3rd edition D&D they even get a recial bonus on throwing with stones. So it's a great class...... Maybe a new solo-challenge here? A 696666 halfling sling fighter? :):):) piece of cake :)

Well, the problem is, i have to change a bunch of other things to do it.

However - I could make a Halfling /Archer/ who gets bonuses to ranged attacks. Halfling Archer is a Fighter Class.

The only things you need to change are race and avatar (I suggest halfling fighter) in a BG-2 editor of your choice (usually SK. It works best with a pre-generated char (as made for multiplayer- don't know why though).

That way I made a halfling skald and a halfling conjurer (both with cleric avatars)

    Hi,

I know this thread is a bit old, just browsing on this board for the first time.

I was under the impression that archers got their bonuses in any missile weapon, not just bows. So you could make a human archer with proficiency in slings and change their race to halfing. Works the same for the bracers of archery - they give bonus to all missile attacks.

I was also under the impression that halfings got a +1 bonus to slings. My halfing in BG1 certainly did. I haven't played a halfing in BG2 (yet..).

The new classes in TDD sound interesting. Strange that they don't allow a halfing slinger though, that is crazy.

    Cheers,

    WittyNewt

I know! Why can't Halflings be rangers? They'd make GREAT rangers.
