Hall of Fame Interview with Gevaudan and Durgin at NWVault

    Neverwinter Nights Vault has posted a hall of fame interview with Gevaudan and Durgin, the authors of the Mirellest Persistent World. Here's a snip:

    4)What are some of the main features that stand out from other worlds?

    Gevaudan - Well definitely our Enchanting System which was exclusively made for Mirellest by Co-Creator Durgin. He spent ages slaving over it but I'll let him go into greater detail on that since it's his baby. As far as other things that stand out, well we are the only server that I have personally seen that uses Mr. Nathan's Psionicist PrC. But I think the bottom line is our #1 Rule on Mirellest and that is that we want people to have fun above anything else. We want to maintain Roleplay and a D&D Feel but beyond that if we create a rule that we think is good and turns out to ruin the fun for alot of players we will (and have in the past) remove the rule in favor of keeping the fun in the game. We want a real D&D Feel to our server but as we all know D&D is far from Realistic so we don't worry about things like HCR (Hardcore Rules) or large penalties for death or anything such as that. After all it is a game and if your not having fun you won't play.

    Another big thing would be the look of the server, our beautiful tilesets we use (not made by us however :) ) are used in such a great combination that we are more than often complimented on the sheer look and beauty of the world. I'll let Durgin expand on that any if he wishes.
