NWVault has posted an interview with Poecile, the author of the module entitled Aribeth's Revival, which has been inducted into their Hall of Fame. Here's a snip:

    4) You mention you should use the character you played from the original official campaign. Is that a requirement to play the OC to enjoy your module?
Poecile : I would say, yes. It isn't a requirement, per se, but you should at least know the story behind the characters. I've also learned that even if one does play the original campaign, there is no guarantee that one will uncover key elements that pertain to Aribeth's condition. Even I had to refresh myself with some aspects of her back-story while I was producing the module. I've included several key pieces of information/evidence that were provided in the OC and I have also incorporated a review of Aribeth's background within the various conversations.
Recently, I have included the original henchmen and they also carry along bits and pieces of their storyline from the original.
