    Happy Holidays all!! Even though what I have read lately indicates that all countries celebrate christmas or ecquivalent on different days here in december. But whateva joy to all! :D

    BTW I am finally an adult :( I am losing money on Christmas, the final evidence that you have become an adult :cry:

    Mirkwood...your "X" comment reminded me. My dad used to hate all the X-Mas abbreviations. He would cry, "They've taken the Christ out of Christmas!!!"

    In seminary I leared that the first Greek letter in the name Christ is "X" and that X is early church for Jesus Christ.

    That's where the fish symbol comes from too. The greek word for Fish is IXTHUS ... an acronym for Jesus Christ Son of God Savior.

    He's the reason for the season!

    A priest told me a story from the 1960s...he was in a shop buying Christmas cards, and there were two old ladies also buying there. One of them pointed to a card, and said to the other (in obvious disgust) "Will you look at this! The church is trying to get into Christmas as well, now!"
