    well in baldures gate 1 u fight the spider queen and she sais that she is the wife of the arch mage jon irencus and if u look close enough in chapter 2 u find out there are lots of hints jon irincus is an elf

    In BG1 you have to charm Centeol to fully tell you about "Icarus", which was the original name for Jon Irenicus. She does mention him in passing if you try to sweet-talk her.

    As for the hints in Chapter 2, I don't remember. There doesn't seem to be any until chapter 7 or so.

    Also, the Thread "Fates of BG1 companions" talks about Centeol and Icarus.

    I think the clues as to he's an elf start in Chapter four, In the asylum you find it out. And you when you charm the Spider Queen to find out about 'Icarus' it doesn't matter what charm spell you use :p

    Seems she is a human/animal/monster :grin:

    Icarus... what a fully appropriate name for BG2's antagonist. I figured there was a reason that guy had such a corny name. Irenicus... jeez.
