Is there any type of code or hack that will make a town that has turned hostile toward you forget about you? If not how long do I need to wait?

If you killed someone 'occasionally', load last autosave. If you are bad enough for a town to have a grudge on you (VERY low rep ;)) - live with it.

    What town exactly?

    Or it is all towns?

Tell us, do you get attacks from only Cowled Enforcers, only Amnish Guards, only vampires or from every single creature?

I only get attacked in the Temple District by the people at the Temple of Lathander. When I had first gone there I looked around through the chests and cabinets and picked up gold and this statue and then the guards started to attack me.

Hmm, thats because you were caught stealing, stealing is bad, you deserved to be attacked, live with the fact that you have hostiles in ONE building, if thats a building you have to frequent often, then you shouldn't have stolen from there, if not, i'm sure the other 2 temples nearby will provide the same service.

    Let me rephrase:

Stealing is bad if you get caught.

Its a bit like my favorite expression, "Its only illigal when you get caught".

I think Al Capone said it best, it doesn't become criminal till you get caught..

anyway, back to the topic, hold on to that statue, it might just we your worth coz if you do Maevar's quest, and you're evil.. you'll need it...
