    [IMG] Friday I'm getting my new computer and I was thinking about buying a good headphone (so I don't have to take my fellow housemembers into account).

    Anyone know some good types or brands?

    Whatever you get, get Sony. I would recommend some of the wirless ones. You plug it in at the computer, turn on the music, and you can walk up to 100m away with it still going. You can go round your whole house listening to music and all you need carry is the headphones on your head! :)

    Check it out.

    You don't need to be restricted to just Sony! There's plenty of good brands out there. I myself have JVC HA-G55's and they are the best headphones I've ever owned (and I've owned several Sony pairs). The long cord can be a problem if you use them to walk around with outside (with a CD player or somesuch) though.

    If you're just using them for your computer, I'd really recommend my phones. They have superb sound and the bass is pumping.

    The only real qualm I have with them, is that my right ear starts to hurt after I've had them on for 5 hours or so (I listen to a lot of music), but that's only ever happend to me. My brother has the same pair, and he has no trouble.

    @mystra's chosen

    I'm not really aiming for 5 hours of gameplay (haven't the time) but it is only for the computer. I'll look into it some more.

    The new Logitech headphones have among the best sound of any out there for gaming, but they may be a bit expensive for what you're after.

    Apeman if you're still looking-Logitech are good, but if you can spend a bit more and you also want long lasting headphones that are also excellent for music - Sennheiser
