    [IMG] HI

Can anyone help...I am in chapter 5 in the mind flayer lair, I have completed everything I can think of in this part but cannot get out of the locked door!

I know I am supposed to use the circlet of control on a mind flayer then try and open the door (I think) but problem is...I have killed them all! Even the brine/blood room is not spawning any more mind flayers.

I have even used the CLUA console to create a mind flayer, used the circlet on it but still can't open the door.

What is wrong???? Saddest thing is...I don't have a slightly earlier saved game to go back to either, the only save I have is soon after I got in and I'm not sure I've got the stomach to wade through it all again!

    Please help! Thanks.

If you can turn into the Slayer, you should be able to open the door. The Slayer form is powerful enough to do it.

:skeptic: Give it a minute with you outside the room. Also, Colthrun is right that the Slayer can open the doors. (BTW, the doors open when you put an appropriate thing at a certain trigger spot, so it's not like opening a regular door. Just stand in fron t of it for a while and it'll open on its own.)

I believe the door takes godlike strength or intelligence. So a 25 strength or intelligence is required. The slayer will get you the 25 strength.

    Have you tried resting?

[IMG] The Elder Brain was the one! Still had to use CLUA to call up a mind flayer however to open the door to the Elder Brain.

    Feeling a little sheepish now....

Thanks a lot all of you...now back to the Underdark...
