    Im stuck on the second level. most of the doors wont unlock, and ive killed everyone. after killing the snake mage guy, i went to sleep to get my health back. Im thinkin he had a key or something, but i cant find anything on the ground where i killed him. am i doin somethin wrong here, please help.

    The key is on the shelf behind him.
    Also the entrance to the dungeon is hidden.
    You need to 'search' and walk slowly along the long corridor.

    There are many hidden doors in the area, in corridors and bedrooms. Take your thief ahead, in "find traps mode", right next to the walls and you should find every hidden doors. The key you`re looking for is in the shelf to the left of the fireplace in the room where you kill the mage yuan-ti.
