Hey, I accidentally messed up the belt of Inertial Barrier (belt10) in Cromwell's Smithy. I don't know what I did and everything looks fine to me. Could somebody look up theres and post the information for me. Thanks, I'd rather not re-install. Even though it'd serve me right for not making a back-up copy before playing around.

Just delete it. Without anything overriding the original file (still deep within the game), it will be restored to its previous version. I wouldn't recommend trying to 'fix' it when the alternative is so much simpler.

I didn't know that would work. I thought I was changing the "hard copies" from the game with the editor. So, it's just making an overrided copy? If so, is this why I see items in my Cromwell folder?

No, that's the beautiful part of the Infinity Engine and its editors. You can't actually change the original hard files, just extract a copy of them to play around with. And the files in your "Cromwell folder" won't affect the game at all unless you move/copy them into your '...\BGII - SoA\override' folder. If you haven't even done that, then nothing has changed at all in your game.

Ok, that sounds good, but why did some of my items I made and saved go to the override folder and the messed up belt stay in the Cromwell folder?

When you "Open Invertebrate" (or whatever the heck the second word is), it creates it in your Cromwell folder. Likely your "Save As..." destination folder is the override by now, but if you just hit "Save" on a file that was already in the Cromwell folder (after the extract), it would just save it to where it already was, not where you meant it to be. Computers are funny like that. ;)

Time for my regular help question. I'm trying to give immunity to magic missiles and I used the Harper amulet (MISC5X)as reference. Instead of being immune to magic missiles, I've become immune to being targetted and can no longer cast spells without a target (ex: mirror image, larloch's on myself, true seeing). I used Spell:protection from spell[206] with Magic Missiles(SPWI112). I'd appreciate any comments or help.
