    Hi Guys

What would you do if you had been talking to somebody on SP for ages and it turned out to be your favourite author/tv/movie star or anybody that you admire but never thought you would get to meet??

I'd probably view that person in a whole new light...which could be a good or bad thing. :bad: :rolling:

I'd find out if they were being serious first! Ask the celeb in question to make an announcement confirming it!

Jokes, I'm sure whoever it is you must have verified their identity. Lucky you, to meet one of your heroes.

Incidentally, wouldnt said hero see this thread?

The mind boggles. And Splunge is Terry Jones! :p

    "Guys" isn't unisex?

I'd tell them to stop wasting their time on SP and do some more acting/writing.

Oh, like I've tried to keep that a secret. :p

I thought 'guys' was unisex........... To be honest, if I went to name every speicies (dunno if that's the right spelling) on BoM then it'd be a long post! lol

I haven't met anyone on here, I was just wondering. I wonder about lots of things..like why is it that carrotts in the 2000's seem shorter than they were in the 1980's?

    ---------- Added 0 hours, 24 minutes and 8 seconds later... ----------

By the way...Thanks for the offer Iku but I would be too concerned about taking you out of the box...the 3rd option for cats in boxes (That I believe Schrodinger forgot about) is that they could also be angry about being forced into a box in the first place!

I'd be surprised that they were such a liar. In my very short sprint at playing Runescape I "met" Snoop Dogg. :D When I asked him why a rich and famous person with access to the best computers and electronics money can buy would want to play the free version of a lame kiddy-graphics game, he strangely couldn't give me a good answer.

I admit that the possibility of a celebrity joining our BOM is quite a bit higher than joining the Runescape croud, but I'd still have to raise a serious eyebrow and need some pretty solid proof.

Indeed, but it's nice to know what people would think! It'd be fun to find out Terry Pratchett or Sir Ian Mcellen (probably not the right spelling) was trawling through these things though

(Sorry, I'm not being rude but who's Terry Jones?)

Terry Jones is the guy whose picture you commented on in my profile. Aside from having a great ass :shake:, I'm, err, he's a Monty Python alumnus.

    Hero's what? :p

Annoying punctuation whining aside, I'd send them so much PMs that they'd leave the boards and never come back.

    Also, I'm Paul McCartney. :)

Carrot's seeming shorter now than in the 80's might be because of he green revolution dying down.

Not so heavy on pesticides and fertilizers as back in those days.

Then it might be a case of you growing up. When you're bigger, the things that seemed big when you were younger, don't seem so big anymore.

There's no cat in the box. Just a fuzzy cloud of quantum uncertainty. But you know this.

Re the word "guys or guy" In Chaucerian English I believe the word was unisex and maybe it still is in Britain but where I live and have lived in various parts of the USA the word usually refers to the male of the human species (except for Splunge and a few other :borg: I think SPers are humans. :) )

If I was able to verify that someone I met on the Internet was famous and especially a true hero/heroine I would be absolutely, completely jumping for joy even if I didn't like the real life person. It would be better than finding 10USD in last years coat pocket.

I'd be tempted to shout it to the world but hope I would be able to control myself and respect the person's privacy.

Side Note: I may not be a hero/ine outside of RPGs but if I'm not famous/infamous on SP by now I'm turning my Rogue Stone in for some Skooma and a pipe.

The whole language barrier does seem to present a problem on here at times, even for those of us that speak the same language (as a first language I mean)!

I remember one person who isn't on here anymore who was so offended that I called her 'pet' that she tried to make my life hell.
In NE England, pet is just something we call each other when we're being friendly!

Unfathomable! I'd have only few objections for being a pet anyone, but nothing against for being a pet for a nice lady.

At the library I am a bit of a mascot for the senior female librarians. :shake:

    You're an orangutan?

Why is it that when you're in a hurry in a supermarket, there is always somebody stood in the middle of the aisle with a trolly and having a chat with somebody they've not seen for 20 years?
