High level Paladins and Rangers

I have just beaten the game with a Level 17 Cavalier. Now, I have removed the experience cap, and was wondering if Paladins and Rangers get spells up to 7th level. ( They would have to be level 25-30 or such ) Anyone experimented with this yet?

 

You can only go up to level 20.

 

No, level 50 is possible. If you use the right experience cap remover. ( there are 2 )

My friend has a level 27 Sorcerer right now.

 

Yep, I sure do. He kicks butt too. I'm waiting to get him high enough so that my simulucrem is high enough to cast simulecrem and time stop.

 

Paladins and Rangers only get spells of up to lvl 3 (even with 25 in wisdom they only have three lvl 3 spells ) And i can only get to lvl 40 with my cap remover

 

Whats with you people and experience cap removers. i didnt know everybody here was a cheater.

 

My lvl 17 Cavalier has access to lvl 4 spells. He can memorize (or pray for, whatever) 3 lvl 1 spells, 3 lvl 2 spells, 3 lvl 3 spells and 1 lvl 4 spell. And wisdom has no effect on the number of spells a paladin (or a ranger, I assume) can memorize. The wisdom bonus is only for priests.

 

What? Who is cheating? IMO, once someone has beaten the game, as those involved in the above messages have, they are entitled to explore the higher facets of the game for the following reason:
The inexplicable experience cap is a good idea, as it prevents people from taking 40th level characters to the end. This would make the game boring. But once you have seen all of the surprises, beaten the last boss, experienced the joy of growing a character, this is one of the only ways to continue enjoying the game. After all, isn't that why we play? If not, you're missing something.

CHEATERS?! If you have beaten the game you have every right to use the exp. cap remover! ( and I have )What are you supposed to do with a max level character that you want to use again? The cap remover allows you to experience the higher level spells (e.g. 9th level mage), and further your game with a previous character. It adds depth and enhancement to the game. Before you accuse examine the possiblities!

 

Cheaters or not, it's your game and you can play it anyway you bloody want. So sod off, dogmatists.

I agree that u should play the game however one likes, but when somone posts their opinion (like Elverath), must we all be piranha feasting on a kill???? Just a thought....

 

We feast using our Longswords of Ass-stabbing +5 as teeth.
