Why my characters can't gain more HP than 3 after lvl 9? My main character has con19, suposed to gain 15HP/lvl, but after many times of leveling up the same level he still gains only three. And Yoshimo is gaining only 2HP/Lvl since the beginning of the game!!! Is it kind of restriction coded into game or what? I have patched the game.

[IMG] here is how the ad&d hp system works:

    Level: 1-9 | 10+
    Fighter: 10 | 3
    Priest: 8 | 2
    Rogues: 6 | 2
    Wizards: 4 | 1

The constitution can give additional hit points bonus when from level 1-9.
    Let's say a warrior with con 19 (+5), gets 4 on his 1d10 hp for a level-up, then he will recieve 4+5 = 9 hp.

Here is how you boni from constitution, when looking at hit points (remember it's only form level 1-9).
    Con hp
    3-5: -1
    6-14: 0
    15: 1
    16: 2
    17: 2(+3)
    18: 2(+4)
    19-20: 2(+5)
    21-23: 2(+6)
    24-25: 2(+7)

where the numbers in parenthesis are the bonus that warrior classes gain (paladin/fighter/ragner).

There is something about a natural regenration rate with a con of 20 or more(so I've heard), not sure how much though.

So it's no restriction but just the normal way, creatures like humans and elves just can't reach a very high amount of hit points like for example Dragons can.
