What are your special plans for this holiday season? Are you going to go visit family, stay at home while they come visit you, or simply sit and mope in a corner? Any special traditions that you'd like to share?

Well, for Thanksgiving, all my family and extended family in Utah will be coming over to my place. We don't usually do anything special, everyone in my family feels that it is better to eat than talk...plus; at my house, if you talk you might not get much food. My family likes our food hot, or eaten!

For Christmas everyone in my family will be going over to my older sister's house to watch my neises distroy their Christmas packages, and see what lame stuff my sister bought them. Then we eat and go home....to eat some more!

The sad thing about my family is, for as much food as we eat, no one gains any weight...I guess I shouldn't be complaining. :rolling:

I'll be eating the traditional swedish christmas ham until it starts running out of my ears. I haven't thought of much beyond that.

[IMG] We're having Thanksgiving dinner for 20 - my husband's old college gang. They've assembled every other year for the past two decades.

For Christmas we're going to see my in-laws in Florida for 10 days. I just love them so it will be fun to spend time with them, but it just ain't natural to be warm at Christmas!

This Christmas everyone is coming to my home! We have an annual "cookies and cocktails" holiday party at which we raffle off a homemade gingerbread house for charity (Share the Warmth, an organisation that provides blankets, heaters, pays heating bills etc for low-income families). I'm serving Irish coffee, hot apple cider, boozy eggnog, boozy fruitcake, mincemeat tarts, and 10 different kinds of cookies. It'll be on the 21st this year. Anyone within driving distance of Toronto who wants to come, please PM me as all are welcome! Bring your chequebooks as you'll be asked for donations when you're too squiffy and sugar-stuffed to resist. ;)

Four days later I'm serving Christmas dinner to my husband's side of the family- 18 people, 7 of whom are wee. I have a house the size of a shoebox so it'll be very interesting to see how I get everyone seated and equipped with forks. Plates will not match, but the food will be good, there will be kittens and kids everywhere, and there will be a lot of love. Isn't Christmas the BEST? I love everything about it.

For Christmas I'm off to Nova Scotia to visit my grandma and a couple of aunts and their families. Lots of spending... And lots of love.

My dad says I won't have to go to church, but I have a feeling I'll have to commit suicide in order to not go to church.

/me hates church and their boring ministers and hard benchs.
